Some people have them and some people don't. You may have had them but not realized it. They say this and that people generally feel them more in the 2nd pregnancy as they know what everything feels like. I didnt have them.

I didn't have any braxton hicks and 'dropped' a few weeks before my due date but had lost plug from a stretch and sweep the doc did at 39wks. I ended up being induced at 40wks1day cos doc said I was having a big baby and didn't look like going into labour naturally before at least 41wks and they didn't want to wait that long. She ended up being 9pd! So glad I didn't have to wait another week or more to squeeze her out!

I would say that you aren't going to go into labour for at least another week or more but ask doc to do a stretch and sweep, try having sex and go for some regular walks and hope gravity takes over and baby comes soon. Avoid induction if you can as it sucks compared to natural labour but if its unavoidable then prepare your mind for it now.

Best of luck, and keep smiling, this baby will come one way or another!

Everyone is different, you could have the baby tomorrow with no warning, this would not be the usual, but has happened. You didn't say if you were effaced, (cervix thinning out), you might not dialate must until actual labor starts.
