does it bother u when guys u know just come up and hug you. i hate it!
i guess the reason i hate it is more the attitude of most of the guys....they think they have the right to hug me whenever they want. One guy who used to hug me was realy nice about it tho and if i didn't want one he respected that and left me alone. But this guy last night, I had to force him off me, he was chasing me around and acting like an animal, and kept saying i luv you, even tho he didn't mean it and this other kid called us friends with benefits. I HATED IT! I'm not a toy and that's what it makes me feel like.
often hugs show care and compassion, but a lot of the guys i mean only do it to suck up to me cuz i'm their boss @ work, and i know they don't really care cuz they don't work hard on my shift, don't listen to met, etc.
Well, that's my rant for today!!

Yes. You need to show them by your body language that you do not welcome them into your personal space. You can do that by simpley folding your arms in front of you or placing hands on hips. That should give them the idea.

You can always tell if a person is giving you a real hug. If they pat you while hugging you or barely touches you, that's as phony as a 6 dollar bill. If they give you a good firm hug, you can tell if its the real McCoy.
As far as the animal, you should have just stood there and put your hand out, without saying a word, talk with an expression next time and see if he gets the picture.

Not if they are my friends but I'm not much of a huggy person so I don't like most people just hugging me for no reason. If it's family or friends I will tolerate it though.

if guys came up and hugged me they'd get knocked flat on their @ss for it. and yeh it would pretty much bother me but since it doesn't happen i can't really say i'm currently annoyed over it. when it does, mind, i'll be ranting as well.

I have no problem with it. The ones that do it to me are good friends, and it's like a hello and goodbye thing.

there was this dude i knew and i only knew for ABOUT 4 days (we went on the same mission trip) and within the first day he decided we were biffies and he always hugged me.
and i was like wtf i did not permit you to hug me.
bad times
i totally forgot about that
