When I read that he had hit #50 and 51 I started thinking about the Yankee record ....61 by Maris....really hope that he gets it...he is really on fire right now and think that he can still get it....would really add some drama to the title chase....especially if it really gets down to Boston and Yankees and don't they have a season ending series???...would it not be really an added drama to this with the Championship on the line and A-rod chasing Maris.....watch it happen!!....GO YANKESS! STINKIN RED SOX!!

He's my favorite player ever! Of course I want him to have as much success as possible. I think he's got a real shot at 60+ with the way he's playing right now. He's got eight homers and is batting .486 in the last ten games. 15 hrs in the last thirty days! It's crazy!

60?? I want 62 so he breaks the legitimate record for most homeruns in a season - currently held by Roger Maris since 61. The Roid Records don't count in my book. Go Alex ... Pax- C

Am I pulling for it? Of course I am.

Whether I think he can do it or not is a different story. He definitely has it in him, but it's so incredibly unlikely.

He'd have to hit 1 home run in every other game for the rest of the season.
