Sorry, what you want is SO EASY to do on a desktop PC but impossible on your laptop.

well your first problem was getting a gateway in the first place. along with e-mechines they seem good because of there price. also you might see that it has a fast possessor and a good amount of ram. at maybe 1/2 of the price of a hp or sony. well as you see they also put out of date and or going out of date hard ware in the computer. also the rams speed is always 266 and hard drive buffer is too slow. so the 3.0 possessor is wasted! spend the money and get an hp or something else.

I agree, your first mistake was gateway. The second is thinking that you can upgrade most notebook vid cards. Sorry buddy, use it for homework, but I would be hesitant to play games or to run a business on this computer
