Like out of cardboard, plastic or anything? I need to make one for a boat race. I have joined 2 paper plates together but it looks really boring n gay. Any good ideas on how to make a better one that floats?

Start with a half gallon milk carton, that will make a great hull. You could use the carboard tube from a coat hanger and them construction paper for a sail. A gallon milk jug could also be used. Put some weight in the same corner as the handle and it would ride like a sailboat. If you want to put a "motor" on it you can attach a small peice of soap to the rear end. As the soap disolves it will push the boat. You can also make a small boat from tin foil. Good luck

You can go to any sailing boat plan site and make a scale model of their boats, or a site with scale model plans:

Or you can go to any site with pictures of boats or use a book with boat pictures and decorate yours like them.
