Have you ever been driving down a two lane highway to have the tourist behind you suddenly forget that you are all on a two lane highway and began to drive like you all are on a fourlane and nearly cause a serious accident? That happened to me today. Like the bumper sticker says "IF it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?"

LOL, Ms Crone, I HAVE noiticed that a lot around here. NOt only that but toursits from Canada seem to LOVE to drive VERY fast. I have found myself on a two lane country road and doing 65 MPH and been passed by vehicles with Canadian plates who must have been doing 80 or more. What's with that?

Try living in Alaska. This place is mega thick with tourists all summer and very few roads. We call the Seward hwy the hwy of death they are having head on's everyday. It is illegal to have 5 or more vehicles behind you here, you have to pull of at the nearest pulloff and let them by. They are great eatin for the bears though lol.

How do you know someone is a tourist and not just a bad drive?

The plates mean nothing, they could have moved or am visiting someone.

I grew up in Florida and wished many times I could take "tourist season" literally like people do "deer season" or "duck season". I wouldn't want one mounted and hung on my wall, but still --
