Hi. My girlfriend and I have been having sex, but we always used a condom. Two weeks ago she had weird cravings, no stomach cramps although her period was close and she normally gets them, and she was occasionally nauseas. Her period did come, however it was two days late, which is unusual for her - but the period itself was normal. Before she had it she took a urine test and the result seemed negative, although there was a very very faint trace of a positive result that u cud barely see. We were going to go and see the doctor anyway but then she had her period so we didn't. After that the other symptoms stopped but i am still worried.

Pregnancy tests are not 100% accurrate until the first day of your missed period. The fact that she had a period is a good sign, and even better that it was normal; to be safe I would encourage her to take a second test as soon as the period is over. It will be totally accurrate at that point. A woman's body is a strange thing and hormones can get off balance for tons of reasons. The symptoms you mentioned could be PMS, and just happen to be different symptoms than what she's experienced before. Also, most women's cycles don't really level out until their mid twenty's. So if she's under like 25, it could be her body is just still changing and adjusting. She'll probably be somewhat irregular from time to time until her 20's.

I guess it would depend on how close to her period you had sex. It's possible, but VERY slim to have a period after you become pregnant. I wouldn't worry too much about it, but if she still has symptoms later or doesn't get her next period I would check it out. I'd take a second urine test to be sure too... I got pregnant when I used condoms so anythings possible! Good luck!

If she had her period then I wouldn't worry about it for now. As for the home pregnancy tests, you should only worry if there is a CLEAR positive sign, and I would say take two just to be sure. If the cramps and nausea continue though, maybe she should see the doc. Kudos to you for staying on top of things WITH her.

I highly doubt that she is, and having a period two days is nothing to worry about. BUT some women do have periods through out their pregnancy so if you feel like you should have her go to the doctor then go. Better safe than sorry right.
Good luck :]

If she had her period then more likely she's not pregnant. WHen you take a pregnany test on the lines if you have one dark line and one light line then it's a postive now if it has no lines mean negative. If your still worried have her wait few days and try to take another test.

there is no such thing as a false positive. she needs to go to the doctor. she can still get periods and be pregnant. unless the test was don't wrong, or left for too long, then she might be pregnant. just go and get a blood test done to be safe.

Get tested again to be safe. I know someone that had their period even though they were pregnant and went to the doctors because they got sick throwing up and it was because they were pregnant. BTW the baby was fine.
