Ok, I'm curious about this. I have a few guy friends. They are like brothers to me (so, nothing sexual or anything). They all have lovely girlfriends too.

I find that when these guy friends are in the presents of other men, they show off. For example, I met up with a few of these guy friends last night at a bar. They had just come from a bachelor party. They were talking and saying to each other, "God, marriage is so stupid. One girl to have sex w/ for the rest of your life" and stuff like that. One of the guys said, "one girl for the rest of you life? That's what the women believe!" All the guys laughed and agreed.

But, what I found crazy is that, all of these guys are Head Over Heels for their girlfriends. They would not cheat and they all plan on marrying these current girlfriends.

So, do guys just make such sterotypical comments in front of other guys just to show off? Opinions? Thoughts?

In the particular instance you mention, my guess is, they weren't showing off to each other, they were needling the women present. Looks like it worked, too, for at least one. I doubt that they would have made such comments if there were no women present.

Yes men just like to show off. Boys will be boys. My crew is all men and I do a man's work so I hear it all day even though I am the boss. However they all know not to cross the line with me on the vulgarity side how far is disrespectful to me.

i asked my fiance the same question once. and the vague answer i got is when men are around eachother it becomes like a fight for dominance/ pissing contest.

from experience, most are kidding. and all the other men know that. they all know they are going home to great women that would have them by the bad place if she knew what he had said. and all it was meant to be was a joke. and men goofing off.

No they really mean it. They have no intention of being faithful.
After all some men think the more conquests they have the more man they are, when actually if they are faithful to their wife it makes them more of a real man.

Typical locker room / frat house bravado. I guess by saying it it makes it seem like they can get tons of women so why settle for one.

There is a persona you have with the guys. You must adhere to this persona, even if you do not personally agree with it.
