A cold air intake is, for lack of a better term, a funnel or air scoop that is situated so that it receives air that does not pass through the radiator. Cold air is denser which means there is more oxygen per cubic foot than there is in the hot air that has passed through the radiator. More oxygen means more complete burning of the gas which results in more power and higher rpms.
Custom headers are the section of the exhaust sytem that connect to the engine block. Headers replave the exhaust manifold which allows the exhaust from each cylinder to mix together rather haphardly and then join to the exhaust pipe. Custom headers are designed to increase the volume of exhaust that can pass through by connecting an exhaustpipe to each cylinder and then joining them together further away from the engine block. Increasing the diameter of the tubes and decreasing the number and severity of bends in them further reduces back pressure on the engine and allows it to reach higher rpms.
Higher rpms equals more horespower and greater torque. The engine is also able to reach the higher rpm levels more quickly. The end result is faster acceleration andhigher top end speeds.

A cold air intake is a system used to bring down the temperature of the air going into the engine so the available oxygen will be higher for combustion with the fuel. This also can make the cars engine sound different than stock Custom headers basically replace the exhaust manifolds that alot of engines come standard with( some come with factory headers) These help the exhaust flow out of the engine. This gives you a little more horsepower at high RPMs. Over all if just these changes were made you would get a modest increase in power and you engine would sound a little different but usually people also modify other components at the same time to get a lot faster car

the cold air intake is a device that allows cooler air to get in the engine. The air inlet will be towards the front of the car and a low restriction air filter will be applied to help with the breathing of the engine.
The Headers are the exhaust maniflold that will help with less restriction and smoother flow of the exhaust gases, this will reduce back pressure and allow more air/fuel mixture to enter and exhaust the engine.
good luck.

while you at the instant are not making plans to enhance the rest yet one section, do no longer waste your funds. including a cold air intake will supply your vehicle a extra aggressive sound once you open the throttle yet you will no longer income lots ability or if all of it. including headers without upgrading the intake is notably ineffective, the inventory air container will cut back the circulate of incoming air. in case you truly need to develop the vehicle's overall performance, improve to chilly air intake, headers, and catback exhaust. There are different issues you may to develop it some extra.

Cold air intake is a better breathing air filter for your vehicle and custom headers are supposed to help with the same thing ....your car will perform better

In order to improve the performance of an engine you have to increase the volumetric capacity by adding cold air which is less dense, heat and compress the air and rid of it as fast as possible.
The cold air intake allows the air to enter the engine unrestricted and cold air moves more freely than hot air.
Headers allow the heated air to exit the system easily by providing a larger orifice and made of thinner metal which cools the exiting air creating a type of suction as the air cools.

intake is for the air flow going into your engine. Makes it cooler.
headers are designed to give you a bit more horsepower by upgrading you inlet/outlet valves for the gases and fuel that the engine takes in/out. if im not mistaken...
