What the hell are you doing in the forest?

If you fell over something, at a specific height, and landed in the middle of a forest.....say w/out a parachute.....
I might not be in the area to hear you fall.....but if I hiked to your ground zero location---I'd surely say "Wow" at the huge crater you'd make.

only if I were in the middle of the forest with you, and in sound range, although if you were extremely large, and fat, your sound waves may possibly traverse the distance outside the forest and perhaps even be heard by all of the people here on yahoo answers.
Although if you were that large, then the shock wave would quickly follow the sound wave.

Well if you define the amount of sound caused as "x" and the distance sound travels as "y", adjust for temperature, humidity, ambient noise, and reduce by the factor of diminished hearing ability and the effects of attention deficit disorder. The answer is definitely... grape jello.

If I was with you or on the phone and you made a noise then probably. But if I'm here and you're there and we have no contact, I'm not exactly sure that it's possible.
