I sick of hearing people criticizes the Wii for reasons that mean nothing. Reasons such as:
“The Wii has inferior graphics” Take a look at the greatest games ever made Zelda OOT, FF3, Chrono Trigger, FF7. Most of them got there not because they had the best graphics, but because they were innovative (pay attention to that word, because it comes up a lot with the Wii) Also, better graphic are an product of the times, as time goes on technology will always produce a better image it just keeps chugging along. The problem is there is little thought given to where it’s going. It’s just one big race to nowhere. Better game play is a product of the human imagination, which works on it own accord. It amazes me that I can have a better time playing a 32 bit SNES game, than the some of the most technologically advanced game out there

“The Wii is for 10 yr olds” Well, the Beatles were enjoyed by 10 yr olds, but they can also be enjoyed by 80 yr olds. I remember there was a golden age of home video games about 1991-1996. The SNES was in every home. My grandma loved playing it, so did I. The genius was it gave two people, an 80yrold and a 10yrold, something in common. The Wii should be hailed, for bring together people. I hear about people starting Wii bowling clubs and I showed my aunt the game and she loved it. With the Wii, video games are returning to a legitimate activity. There aren’t many games out there that four people separated by a decade each, could play together and have a great time and don’t bring up Halo’s multiplayer, because that is a specific sort of game play where most of the participants are males 15-35, you have to like that hackney homoerotic genera of game play, to have a good time. The Wii is giving meaning back to videogames. Time will show that Nintendo has never lost there genius, it just sometimes went under appreciated.

I unfortunately do not own a Wii (yet), but I'll totally agree with you that great graphics do NOT make a great game. Some of my favorite games are from the old consoles (NES, SNES, N64), and I've always been a Nintendo fan. Also, I'll take a game with crappy graphics and great gameplay over a beautiful game with sub-par gameplay anytime.

Ok i agree with you, i have all three systems and the wii is awesome. Most people only say the Wii is bad b/c they don't have one and are jealous. One of my neighbors was talking down on it, then he came over and played it and bought one weeks later.

What i can say about the graphics is that graphics don't make the game. Most people care about grraphics and all that but i don't really care that much, i mean it is convenient to be able to see what's going on. Still as i said i have all three and my games for the 360 and ps3 get old fast and mkae me need more guys and i'm constantly buying or renting games, even though there were a few that i still play. The wii may not have graphics but they have great games that i love to still play like wario ware, mp8, super strikers, wii sports and many more and the wii remopte makes playin them alkl the funner. Even though the wii's graphics arn't the best people didn't mind playing games with same or worse graphivcs on older systems.

About age, nintendo has been bringing games that have no age limit and millions of people play them whether 5-50. When i was a child, my dad and i would always play the old mario games on snes for hrs when he came home from work and sometimes hes played the wii. I suspect i will be doing the same with my kids and other people do the same and i feel this is a tradition that won't end with nintendo and that's what makes them so great.

i think you got the real point there for the success of wii is more family fun to the Young's child to the eldest of the family and i am with you in that point but i am part of the "15-35 male" group and i like more serious challenging realistic games Today the money that a video game make is nearly as much as a Hollywood movie makes so i think we need both just like in the movies there is serious ones and there is family ones
And 32 bits it was quite a challenging with serious graphic console at his time

Im speachless, everything you say is true. I love all three of the systems but Nintendo is the biggest video gaming company. and that has to mean something. (Cries in the corner). I have a Wii

yea, the wii is pretty cool. I like it over the x-box 360. The ps3 is cool to but just to expensive. but with some of the games that the wii has to add to your argument is that people will probably lose weight from playing the games it has. It might be the answer to our obesity epidemic. lol.

No offense but I'm getting sick of people who feel that have to stand up for their console. If you are having fun with the system then who cares what others think, right? This just seems like another fan boy fight...
