for the 2 above me to say the cubs or the brewers are the team to beat is almost as big of a joke as the NL Central division itself....cubs and brewers tied, for 1st with the cardinals 1 1/2 back, and all 3 teams no better than 6th in the wildcard standings. lets be real here, the mets are the team to beat in the national league, they are beatable, but they are the best team in the national league

I think so. They have a nice lead in the NL east. The Brewers, Cubs, and Cards (my team) can't decide who should be on top in the Central. Arizona has a good team, but they could still loose the NL west to the Padres. If they do, I don't see the Padres going all the way.
To the person above me, I don't think the Mets will be going to the ALCS anytime soon.

Not only are the Mets THEEEE team to beat in the National League (best won-lost record), it would be deeee-lightful to see them in the World Series again against Boston. Shades of 1986, because the Mets were major underdogs then, and would be also in 2007. Goliath (Boston), meet David (Wright) of the Mets.

The Mets have fun beating up the Marlins and Nationals all year. When they get into the playoffs, it's going to be a different story.
I'm looking forward to seeing the Mets and Diamondbacks in the NLCS.

There one of them, but the best reg.season record means nada in the post-season.As a Birds on the Bat I've experienced both sides of the seniero in 04 we had the best record in baseball, but got our jocks handed to us by the Bo-Sox.Now in 06, we had the worst record in the playoffs, the rest is history.
