You asked about metaphors, then you say you want to analyze her poems for literary, poetic and linguistic devices...which is it? If you want to understand the metaphors, then look to where she creates them and ask yourself how that metaphor creates an image that is more than if she'd just stated the obvious. For example, "you are my sun" is a metaphor that implies the subject provides life, provides light, warmth, nourishment, security, good cheer, etc., and does so with just one word: "sun". That is what metaphors do. As far as rhythm and rhyme, sound and sensory devices, etc., that's all about how it affects "you". Just read the poems in question with the tips I've provided. The rest is up to you.
