Most golfers do not play golf and hit power shots when " flat-footed" Most lift the lead foot slightly to assist the turning of the body and the completion of the backswing.. On the downswing, they will plant the lead foot as they start the downswing which in turn starts the hips, then the torso, then the shoulders and the arms( all coordinated) through the striking position leading to a full follow through which will lead to the trailing foot being on the toes.
