just be smart about the info you put out there....you can't see people's facebook unless you are their friend...and you can make myspace private as well...

1. no, facebook is NOT exactly like myspace. similarities? a lot of the companies and applications and what not are the same. differences? you can prohibit and block people from seeing things more easily in facebook, and facebook you can choose what people can see about you. 2. you could befriend a dangerous person. someone might get onto someone you are friends with account and look at your information, except thats also w/ myspace. 3. no idea. just show them that its easier to protect your information. when you hear about people getting stalked and raped and all those things, its usually through myspace, not facebook.

Neither myspace nor facebook is necessarily dangerous. That being said, if you are not careful with your settings and information, they can both become extremely dangerous. When you fill out your profile on either site, it will ask you to give a pretty good amount of personal information such as name, address, date of birth, city, state, high school/college, etc. If a stranger were to access this information, it would be way too easy for them to locate you. To prevent this from happening, set your account up as private so that only friends can see your profile page and then only add people you know as friends. You never know who is out there trying to access your information, so it definitely pays to be careful!

face book is less dangerous then facebook because someone would have to find you which would require actual names.

Myspace almost anyone can see your page because its not as organized as facebook.

Nways there not dangerous just dont be dumb and say like my address is abc st 9999 new york, new york,55555

My name is blah blah number 555 555 5555

Dont add people you dont know because they are usually random people who you more or likely wont want to know

It's only dangerous if you make it dangerous. Do not put your personal information on there and only allow people on your page that you wish to be on there.

Have fun and be creative with the site you create. But always remember that if you choose to post pictures of yourself, that anyone can obtain a copy. Also remember that if you choose to post sexual content online, that you'll only attract the lowest creeps of society...

Just be careful and post responsibly...

myspace is more dangerous, anyone can make an account but on facebook, you actually have to have someone confirm that you go to that school w/in 60 days or they suspend your account.

it all depends what u do with it.
the chat rooms can be dangerous. u can get close to someone on there and give ur info out and they can stalk you. so thats not a good idea.
some people get hookd cuse of the attention they get from someone on there. like if a dirty old man/woman. could easily say they r a teenager and become friends and it oculd lead to a bad situation

Not if you use common sense. Never give ANYONE your personal information (home address, phone number, where you work or go to school, etc.). Never assume that just because someone says they're a 15 year old boy (or girl) that they really ARE a 15 year old boy (or girl).
Never agree to go meet someone in "real" life (especially if they say something like "sneak out -- don't tell your parents").

In other words, don't automatically trust people you meet on either site.

It depends.

If you are a stupid teenager who happens to like older guys then yes it is dangerous.

If you happen to be responcible and know the difference between right and wrong, then it is a fun way to keep in touch with friends.
