As long as you keep your tank clean, yes, they are fine together! Weather Loaches get about 6 inches and are COLDWATER fish that would accept tropical conditions. They prefer a sand substrate, but gravel or river rocks are fine. Do a 25% gravel siphoning every week to keep your tank clean and you will have no issues (assuming you have Fancy Goldfish [only 2]). Commet Goldfish get about 2 feet and are not suitable for a 20 gallon tank. You likely saw the fish getting used to eachother. As soon as they "meet" and establish their little "interspecies pecking order", there will be no issues with aggression. Email me if you have any questions.

EDIT: If you keep a Goldfish at less than 50* faherenhiet, it will not be able to digest food and will eventually starve to death. 70* is a more realistic temperature.

Goldfish need to be kept alone.
They are messy fish who produce a lot of waste that is harmful to other fish.

They also need cold water, temperatures UNDER 50 degrees Farenheit, while the loach will need temperatures ABOVE 75 degrees.
It's not a good situation for the loach. I'd get him a different tank.

Also, goldfish need 10 (US) gallons EACH. So, the tank you have only holds 2 goldfish THAT'S IT!

I'm not positive, but I think loaches get pretty big themselves. Look it up, I think you're looking at at least 50 gallons just for him.

Basically, you don't have enough space for all those fish in that little tiny tank.

Good luck
