How can I understand math that I feel is over my head?

I took elementary alegbra first it took me four times to pass it and now im in intermidaite alebgra I need some help Im close to graudating and im gonna let alot of people down I just dont get math any advice would be helpful.

If you feel like you're having trouble understanding the class, then a good option would be to find a tutor to help you outside of the classroom if one is available. That or if you can get additional help from the teacher outside of class hours, that could prove beneficial as well.

Try working the 'example' problems in your book. Set down and go through each step until you understand exactly what was done and (more importantly) --why-- it was done.

Also take good notes in class and study. Ask someone who does understand it to explain it to you.
