All of them seem to have private questions and answers. Doesn't matter what party. They name-call, spread unfounded rumors, treat our representatives as "guilty until proved innocent" and otherwise act seditiously.
They hate half the country and they hide their answers and questions? Do a check for yourself. Look around. ACTUALLY LOOK! My question will wait.
Answer when you've taken your own survey (three is not a survey. Heck, twenty is barely a survey).
See for yourself. Obviously there are other reasons for making such things private but it surprised me that ALL the posters who post hate posts against one side or the other that I checked ALSO made their answers/questions private.
Those who seem to deal solely in issues and behaviors seem to leave theirs open, but I haven't checked that as thoroughly. See you back here when you're done.

Wow! I got an education. Serves me right for asking a question I actually wanted an answer to!
Thank you all.

I spoke too soon. Somebody who doesn't read too well decides it's all about HIS agenda and starts posting nonsense about Craig? What does that have to do with the question, again?
And he assumes I'm a republican (I'm a democrat) and demonstrates the very behavior (read his posts) I'm talking about (political bigotry, not necessarily making his answers and questions private).
What was that about? Thank you, EVERYONE ELSE! for thoughtful and considered answers related to the question.

I've noticed the same thing. it's gotten to the point where I just block people who make their Qs and As private. They either harbor paranoid thoughts that "trolls are out to get them" or are trolls themselves. I've been around for some time now and, while I have had to deal with my fair share of trolls, it's not that big of an issue if you just ignore them.

Some people seem to keep their Q&As private because they get a lot of 'hate' email, etc.
Hmmm, maybe if they weren't so hardline they wouldn't, lol ... actually, I'm just joking. There are a LOT of disturbed individuals out there and I gues some people don't want to be followed round by those who 'thumbs down' every comment they make, write abusive and sometimes graphic replies, etc.
It's kinda sad though that people can't have a more civil type discussion. Just because I'm not 'for' something does NOT automatically mean I am against it. I may be undecided, or I may agree with a dozen other things the person supports, but the divisions are made much worse by the language used and comments made.
Just my two cents!
Cheers :-)

Never was sure why some were set to private. I felt the same as you but had not taken time to research the issue.

I privatised my Q&A only a couple of days ago when I realised one could. I did so because I read a hate message with direct reference to my name in a message calling on people to attack me...in the TENNIS section for Christ's sake!

If you referring to Senator Craig, he pleaded guilty.
Your own Republican Party said that he should resign.
Don't worry, he can still get his Gay freak on, he just won't be able to do it public places.

I think part of the problem is that when you answer and oppose someone and they get mad they look at how you've answered other questions and to get even, they report you.
Then you are suspended just because someone didn't like your answer.

I recently set mine as private as I had people going in and reporting answers or questions that were resolved months ago. I had to prevent that so I privatized my Q&As.........

oh i've noticed, partly because i love seeing how predictable some people are.
there's one person on here who shall remain nameless who is such a meat puppet that it's ridiculous.
i love reading that person's posts because it's so devoid of anything original.
naturally, that person has disabled im and email.
i disabled mine because i don't want to have things that aren't public. i've been called some pretty nasty stuff and i like being able to send violation notices when i see it.

I keep mine private because of the Report freaks out there.
Perhaps you are one of them.
I have lost my account, e-mails, etc: All because I was not with Bush. You know the propaganda, your either with us or against us.
