I do woodworking and when ever I make something before I'm done it's usually spoken for. If you click on my pic and go to my 360 page after that, there are pics there of some of the things that I've built. I've seen a trend where people are getting back into things made of real wood. Not particle board. Depending on your talents you can start with some simple shelves people always want some where to put pictures or knick knacks and I've never had trouble getting rid of shelves. They are very simple and don't use alot of wood or resources. Keep makeing dust that's what I like to say. If your making dust your working on a project. Take care and happy woodworking.

I've always said that one's passion for something---like a hobby--can merit it's rewards. Your woodworking passion does appear to be one.

I'd first start by using your passion and creating / building some very nice products, like unique bird houses, wind mills and intricate designed German clocks. It might even be worth the extra effort to make a small quantity of each project idea.

Taking good digital cam pics of these items, set a fair price for each.

It takes spending some money ( overhead ) to make some money, as surely will be the case after you've built some products to sell. Look into spending some more money (reasonably) on a secure small business website--offered by many on-line merchants--and show the world what you can create and offer.

It's not so much the profit you generate as it is satisfying your creative passion (which should feel impossible to satisfy) doing something you truly love. Focus on that and the quality of your work---and the rest will follow.

Forget dog walking-dog breeding is the one. Get a male dog and sell his...erm...well, you are an intelligent person, so I am sure you know what I mean. If you have more time, get a lady dog that is in her prime and get puppies-the downside is you'll have to let them go. You won't get taxed, it is great fun and if you choose the right breed, you'll make a fortune.

Try some local craft shows for projects and maybe go to a local nursery or bird food store and see if you can build some custom bird feeders or bird houses, bat houses for them---some are quite expensive.
