What's the brand name of your video card?.

Do a google/yahoo search on your Vista drivers for your video card and possibly monitor.
You will require Vista drivers for at least the Video Card.
If there are none available and you are adventurous, you can try installing vista drivers for similar cards (cards manufactured by the same company but have a different manufactures name
Alternately, you will have to purchase a Vista compatible Graphics Card.

I think so. If you clean installed vista, you may need graphics drivers, as usually XP drivers and Vista drivers do not work for each other.
