When I realized that the world is will. At an early age (about 3) we begin to inflict our will on the world around us. We do it because we can, it's intriguing and fun.

As time and discipline accumulate, we begin to understand and appreciate that it is not merely unbridled will, but will power which provides true satisfaction.

I realized this when I was in about 9th grade. I started to see how leading a disciplined life helped to keep things under control. I applied myself to my studies, and followed a regular schedule of retiring to bed early.

The lifestyle I follow is much different now, but that is when I realized that the world is will.

I have made many realizations about life but my most recent one is relativly simple.....life is the period of time in which consciousness is used to attain as much undertanding and comprehension of the environment and other individuals around you as possible. This is until you have an epiphany or point where there is no longer a need to search and wander looking for "the reason." For some it may be God, for others it can be Love, or even Greed but no matter what it is......... you will feel empty until you find it.

Somewhere around the age of 4...Momma wasn't looking and I saw something shiny...I reached up to touch it...it turned out to be a hot iron on an ironing board...Burned my whole left palm....that's when I first realized what life is....

When my parents divorced, I realized what life was--suffering. But it sort of awakened me to the reality around me. Not everything was good, perfect. If we see through a glass darkly, then we truly begin to see when we first see that the glass itself is dark.
