Well I had to change my schedule for school and the MANAGER said to me I WAS FIRED. Also can you be fired for leaning on the counter and for complaining about another worker?

i think they can fire you just like any one can fire you for changing your schedule. it has to be approved by your boss.

they are the boss, & you don't go over their head,.

No it's not wrongful termination. They have no obligation to keep you on if you can't work the hours they need you, or even if you are willing and able to work the hours they need you.

They are a business, they have given you the job, and they get to make the rules.

They can fire you for the other things you mention. Actually, they can fire you from pretty much any job for any reason or for no reason, as long as they don't fire you because of prohibited reasons like gender or race.

If you corrected the official schedule because you couldn't work, without telling anyone -- instead of finding someone to work for you and getting a manger's approval - they not only could but SHOULD fire you.

Same thing for being a lazy slob. There is ALWAYS something to do -- find it.

You are going to get nowhere in life looking for a handout. You need to work when you are at work. Otherwise they would call it "happy fun time" instead of work.

Well when it comes to your schedule there's usualy a manager or section chief who is incharge of that. You need to get with them and ask them if you can because they set up a schedule up for a large group of people so everyone get the same amount of days off or the same oppertunity to work if they are over staffed. If you just decide to change it yourself then other people will start to think that they can and then some days you'll have most of the work area off on the same days and isn't able to operate because of understaffing.

You can be fired for any reason that doesn't have to do with race, sex, religion etc. Changing your schedule and complaining about co-workers are good reasons to fire someone.

This is really helpful information for me because I have a situation where my manager is the lead ringer in the officer that keeps up confusion.

Most jobs in most states are "at will" employment which means either the employee or the employer can end the relationship at will (anytime they want).
