If your employer requires you to have a cell phone for work, then yes you would be able to, but only to the extent that you use it for work. Example; if you use your cell phone 75% for work then you could write off 75% of the cost for that year. But you would have to record the expense on Form 2106 - Employee Business Expense, and that form would carry of to Schedule A - Itemized Deductions - Miscellaneous deductions and your total miscellaneous deductions would have to exceed 2% of your AGI for you to be able to deduct the excess, and you'd have to itemize to get any benefit at all.

Sorry, becoming disabled (or otherwise loosing your ability to earn) does not 'wipe out' debt - nor (as I'm sure you will soon discover) is it even a reason nullify your Gym Contract .. About the only reason why a Mobile Phone company MIGHT reduce a bill is if you can show it was used without your authorisation (eg after you reported it stolen).

If you itemize your tax deductions, and use it to complete work related tasks, then yes. How much is questionable, but you should keep some records anyway. I won't give you advice to break or bend tax laws, but you probably will never be audited for it. Besides, it's all subject to your 2% floor on misc deductions, so it's small beans anyway.
