You're so right dum dum. The video was supposedly made with a cell phone. I'm not the smartest person but why can't they at least track the cell phone with our highly advanced GPS tracking and Google earth. Why did we put those trillions of dollars into space if we can't track one man.

Intelligence is different from law enforcement.
The idea is not to arrest people, it is to gather information. It is better to put up with the devil you know than to drive him underground and have him replaced with people you don't know.
So if you knew some Al Jezeera reporter has friends in Al Qaida, you don't arrest them all, you let them move about freely in the hopes that they will make a mistake and lead some informant or surveillance satellite to someone important.
So how do you know they don't know where Bin Laden is, and who even knows if the Al Qaida website is real? If the FBI and CIA were to stop paying their informants, I think you'd find there are fewer radicals than first meets the eye.

Because there are infinitely more people interested in finding child predators than Al Qaeda or Bin Laden.
Are you feeling sorry for the perverts?

Because the pervs, and pedafiles, do their thing from home.
It's not hard to go to a web cafe somewhere and upload something on a web page.
So exactly what do you track ?
That someone at a certain web cafe, on a certain date, accessed a terrorist webpage.
That doesn't do you much good, when they never come back to the web cafe again.
So it's not so easy to track a human from internet postings, when they can be posted from multiple places and never the same place twice.

NBC ran a special report on why not too long ago. They equip their PC's with software that blocks their IP addresses. They also mail their videos to places like Al Jazeera (Iraq's news network). They encode just about everything they do, too, to protect themselves.
Al Qaida is smarter and slicker than what most people give them credit for.

Because Al Qaeda isn't stupid. They are just evil... more like Silence of the Lambs evil and less like Pinky and the Brain evil than we might hope.
Also. Lots more kiddie porn on the internet that doesn't get prosecuted than does, I am afraid.

It takes weeks for them to produce the video, then run it from one part of the world to another to have it broadcast.

this is just something the US government sends out routinely and deliberately to scare and indoctrinate the American population, manufacturing lies so that the government can do whatever it wants outside of American.
