you have to distinguish between musically and technically.
Pink Floyd's album Dark Side of the Moon was acknowledged for about 2 decades as THE reference of recording technique. hence maybe it's coming that many people speak of the "best" rock album. from this point of view i would agree.
musically everybody feels different. it also makes a big difference if you're born far after 1972 (the year of the premiere, released later in 1973) or if you attended a Pink Floyd concert in 1972 like me, where they played DSotM.
all i can tell you is that it was great, this quadrophonic sound around the stadion never heard before (sound technique at this time was generally mediocre compared to today) - a rememberance that i will never forget.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with not feeling a certain song, album, or artist; It just means it is just not your thing. I like Pink Floyd, but some songs on that album I'm not a big fan of either. But maybe search the album up on amazon and look at the "Users Also Bought" section, and search some of those songs up on Google, Yahoo, or Ask, and see If you like those songs. And if not, try other kinds of music. Im sure you will find somthing new to you that you will like, But like I said it is just normal to not really enjoy some songs! Have fun exploring new music! =]

Hi. The album was recorded in 1973 and i feel that todays young people are not interested in that style of music. It was one of the best recordings ever made for sound quality and was often used as a demonstration record at Hi Fi shows. It is not my favourite rock album but i do like some of the tracks.I have a copy of the Original Master Recording by Mobile Fidelity Records gold plated and it sounds much better than the ordinary CD.If you have an excellent playback system it really comes alive with enormous depth and clarity. One of my favourite bands from that period was Supertramp.

I personally think it is one of my least favorite albums by them. It is great but personally I believe Animals and The Final Cut are better.
I adore Pink Floyd.
