Would you recognize evil if you saw it?

And if yes, how would you recognize it?

I hope so. But I think evil can be seen in the eyes. You can see what the person is thinking through them . Plus how they act. I mean there is just a certain coldness/lack of caring for others, and when they send a chill down you spine(and not in a good way) All those combined would definitely let me know that person was evil.

There are millions of definitions for the word "evil". It is a very relative term. I suppose if I saw someone killing another, I would label him as "evil", but if I didn't witness the event, then he would seem like any normal person. How can you know something is "evil" unless it's done something to make it so?

For me it is not so much as seeing it as it is feeling it. I'm a person who can feel others, meaning I can feel their pain, their happiness etc. So yes, I almost always recognize evil when faced with it, as I feel it.

Yes and I do. When I walk into a place, restaurant, lounge or anywhere for that fact I feel it like someone slapping me in the face. My girlfriend and I used to call the people we had this feeling about vampires. Just a term that seemed to apply. We always could sense when we went somewhere the "odd" people.

I believe good and evil are just words that we humans use to describe that which we can not understand.

That which we don't understand falls into either one of two categories

Good (the way we feel when we are close to someone we love), or
Evil (the reason some people chose to kill and murder others)

and so we understand it

I think eyes show evil. Look at pictures of Charles Manson and Rasputin, their eyes are the windows to their souls.

some evil is blatant Nazis, child molesters,some evil is banal such as the folks who would demonize others then be hypocritical enough to do like wise such as Ted Haggerty and his ilk it's like looking for a con if it sound to good to be true it is to good to be true it's really evil oh and add minghellhole to that list

Eyes are the window to the soul. More importantly though, if you are tuned in to what is around you, then you are most likely to feel the negative energies of that person. Most people however, are not tuned in enough.

i probably would, if it matches my definition of evil. then again, if it's temptation at its best, we tend to ignore that it's bad to fall into it
