Greece and Cyprus never refused any kind of help from the USA.
Greece and Cyprus never refused any kind of help to the USA.
For example, in the war in iraq the british (NATO) bases in Cyprus are being used.
Last summer during the war in Lebanon the Republic of Cyprus worked together with the Americans and gave food shelder to all of the Americans (and Europeans) who where living in Lebanon and tried to escape the war by coming to Cyprus (the US didnt wanted them back immitiatly).
Cyprus never refused anything to the USA goverment and it's one of the few countries in the world (and especially the region) that anti americanism does not exist.
There is another issue that you may confuse and I don't wanna discuss now and that's the American policy in the eastern mediterrenean which is black page in the American history.

It really shows how much you know of history of your country! Its a very complex question and mixing everything together, a whole book should discuss the answer! I know you can't find these kind of books in the most free republic of our world, Turkey. But these books study exactly your answer. Istanbul and civilization of Ottoman empire (Bernard Lewis) The Armenian Genocide (Esmaeel Raeen) (Second one written by an Iranian writer) sorry I couldn't type it all!

What do you mean by downing? Armenians are angry with the U.S because when ever these bills get passed through the Senate, its vetoed. Doesn't matter if you a Democrat or Republican, Clinton vetoed, Bush will veto (probably expresses the same views as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, their answers, a big fat NO). The Republic of Turkey twists Americas arm and brings it to its knees by threatening to close military bases and companies in Turkey, same as it told France it would do after it passed its Armenian Genocide Resolution Bill but relations and trade normalized in a couple months. People are simply sick with the cynicism and hypocrisy that the United States government.

Lady GOP last time I was arguing with you. You were saying that USA accepts the genocide but now you are saying that USA is working hard. That doesn't make sense.
BTW I agree with you.

Alan there couldn't have said it better. The US has a history of using strong-arm tactics to police the world. Think about it these two ways. If you don't want help, and someone decides to help you, wouldn't you get a little annoyed? Also, how would you feel if someone came into your home and started telling you how to live your life? No one asked for the US for help, so don't give it. Leave others alone and you will be left alone.
