Suppose an observer finds that Aries is the constellation just above the horizon as the stars fade at sunrise. What constellation would be seen just above the horizon at sunrise 1 month later? How about 1 month later still?

The next month would be Taurus, and then Gemini. For the most part the constellations of the zodiac will change on a monthly basis. They don't have any real affect (beyond psychological suggestion) on what happens on earth, but the sun's movement through the zodiac is very predictable and consistent.

The zodiacal constellations would process in order.
But this is only an optical illusion, & not significant.
So-called constellations have no connection with anything.
