Have the oil changed? Seriously though, it comes on either because a sensor in the oil pan has detected low oil, or it thinks it is detecting low oil, or the computer has calculated it's time for an oil change. Add oil. If the light goes out, the cause was obvious. If not, something else is going on. Read your owner's manual. Often, indicator lights can mean more than one problem. Fill, check change or add whatever else needs doing. Find out if your car calculates when it thinks it needs a change. If it does, a lube technician would need to reset this value every time you had a change. Doing so would make the light go out. If the light's still on, it's probably a computer or sensor problem. A technician can get into the car's computer and figure out what's going on (so can you with the right plug and software). Sometimes he can just reset a value, sometimes it indicates some part (likely the sensor) needs replacing, sometimes you just have to get used to it.

Turn the ignition to the on position, without starting the engine, and press the gas pedal several times. This should reset the light. Hope this helps.

i think on them you hold the odometer reset button down with key off. while holding it turn key to run position and wait till light blinks (about 10 seconds) give it a go. I may be wrong but it sounds good ;)
