I need help when i log on i don't know under which tab has the wep code and how do i even turn the wep code on because with my laptop i didn't have to put a wep code into connect to my router

also can i put anything for the passphrase and why do i have to put it 4 different wep codes?

You turn on the WEP from the router. Under wireless secuirty. When you set the WEP code on the router, you should also select which key 1-4 that you want to use. You only have to set that one line you do not have to set all four.
You then have to enter the matching code for that one key on your laptop when you setup that connection.

Just as a hint, if you wnat a truly secure wireless connection, use wpa-psk encryption. Nowadays hackers can crack wep in about 15 minutes. I tried it and when i saw how easy it was, I immediately switched to wpa
