During that time frame their was NO one specific leader, their were city states and each had their own King. Athens, Sparta were the two biggest but their were many others also.
(those names are all correct but they are only Athenian Kings and leaders, their were also other City states with kings, remember 300? King Leonidas? He was a Spartan King)

The most influential Athenian leader of Socrates' day was Pericles, who led Athens between the Persian and Peloponnesian Wars (from about 461-429 BC). After Perciles, Athens was led by several different men, all of whom were at various times "Leader of the Assembly."

Some other of the Athenian leaders leaders of the day: Nicias, Cleon, Alcibiades, Critias (student of Socrates)
Alcibiades was king of Sparta after from 399-360 BC.
