It is a pretty decent set up. You can extend its life through step by step upgrades. You could consider an X2 6000+ or 6400+ in the future, especially when there are good bargains. 2x1Gb RAM is great for Vista. 4Gb could be a future upgrade. (noypi din)

Looks pretty good! You might consider adding more RAM. I have one very similar w/ 2 GB and it smokes.
Unless they make some drastic changes to PC's it will last many years. That old line about being obsolete in 6 mo is BS. I have an old Compaq 400MHz I bought in 1998 that I gave to a young girl who's family doesn't have a lot of money and it still works fine. Sure it's slow, but it still works.

It depends. If its for gaming, photo or video editing i suggest you to add more RAM (make it 2GB) and also drop a video card(with at least 256MB DDR2 mem). I also suggest you to get Intel Core Duo instead of AMD because its a fact that Intel Core 2 Duo outperformed AMD on any benchmarks. But if its just for internet surfing and other basic use, that will do. But if you will be using it like some multi tasking, go for Intel Core Duo. Maniwala ka sa kin tol, kasi system builder ako. =]

Its not a bad PC, depends on what your using the pc for... AMD's are only good for gaming type stuff, if you using it for other than games you'd be better off getting something else, with 1GB of memory it would be pretty slow.

On a Mac, shift/administration/3 takes a photograph of the exhibit. in case you press shift/administration/4, you may click and drag over the section you like; the photograph is taken once you launch the mouse button.

It depends of the manufacturer and what you are going to be using it for. DELL, HP, IBM are all good Gateway has issues and I'd stay away from brands you've never heard of.
