The Fog (1980) is pretty good.
While an old, weather-beaten fisherman tells a ghost story to fascinated children huddled by a campfire, a piece of driftwood in a child's hands begins to glow, and an eerie fog envelops the bay. From its midst emerges demonic victims of a century-old shipwreck seeking revenge on the small town. This horror classic from John Carpenter is packed with stars, including Jamie Lee Curtis and Janet Leigh.

"The Entity", a classic! I've got chills just saying the title. I showed this movie to my ex-girlfriend (at age 21)....she was so scared of this movie she begged me to go the bathroom with her for weeks. She was so pissed at me for showing her this movie....and actually I thought I was over that whole "not afraid of the dark" thing but this made me question masculinity. Anyways....go get it!

If you can find it, there's one called "Ghost Story" that I've always loved. Of course, "The Entity" is wonderful.

i do no longer think of it is lots Hollywood vs. Asian as this is funds vs. paintings. The Grudge is a hybrid of Asian and Hollywood author/director Takishi Shimizu's tale warped with the aid of an American screenplay author. i do no longer keep in mind his call, yet i do no longer think of he had too many credit to his call earlier and any that he did replaced into notably much genuinely crap. every time vast funds gets a whiff of a achievable fad, they throw all they are in a position to to "Americanize" the action picture so as that they are in a position to distribute it to the loads and pull in as much as they are in a position to and income from an artist and turn them inot their whore. undeniable and straightforward this action picture replaced into extra comical & predictable than frightening as a right away effect of capatalizing on the sucess of the hoop. somewhat solid horror video clips are troublesome to with the aid of. Now extra advantageous than ever with the theory that blood and screams make a action picture frightening. There are solid ones available and particular, Japan has some very solid video clips partly by way of fact there folklore continues to be foreign places to us. "Hollywood" will positioned out a very good ghost action picture, yet all in all i think of "Indie" is a thank you to circulate (much less funds & fits telling them what to do).
