Her son is in his late twenties, and the last time she spoke to him was over 1 yr ago. When her daughter in law did a search on the internet, he came up listed as deceased !
They did not have his SSN number. This poor lady spoke to the sheriff in her town and he told her that they needed to know where he was living, but all she knows is that he was up north somewhere. Any suggestions especially from someone in law enforcement would be greatly appreciated.
I feel just awful that she doesn't know if he is deceased or not.

Can he not be listed as a missing person with the FBI cause he was last known to be in the north? Or, go to the Red Cross who have helped many people find their lost loved ones..and can she not take his birth certificate to the Social Security Office to get his SS#? She would need her ID also. I worked at the License Bureaus in Ohio for many years......try some of these things to help in locating her son. God Bless and my prayers are with you.
EDIT: Why can't the sheriff put out an apb on this person...or go to the locate licensing agents to see if he renewed his drivers license or call then to the state capital to see if he had engaged in a new state license some where. but, she really needs to go to ss office for that first.
