Conscience is the activity or faculty by which distinctions are made between right and wrong in one's own conduct and character. Conscience ia acquire and not innate. Conscience varies in geography because it is the society that makes what is right and what is wrong based on the people's belief, culture and practices.

If I had to define it, Conscience or moral sense is an inner voice in an individual (or group) that judges our actions and the conduct of others based on moral rules and values. (*Past ,present, contemplated future actions (ie options) are included). The moral rules and values we start out with are internalized cultural and social ideas but they become more autonomous in nature as one develops morally through learning from experiences and reflections esp ethical reflections. I believe this is the existential concept of conscience w/o expressing it in God-based terms.
I have no animosity toward conscience in God-based terms as many philosophers have done so in some fashion according to the spirit of times they lived in.

A collection of beliefs that each of us maintain in terms of what is right and wrong. We use the "conscience" to judge ourselves and each other. We then use the beliefs in the conscience to punish the self or others.
The more beliefs in your conscience the more you suffer and the more sadistic you become towards others.

I understand it is your inner beliefs of right and wrong, what is acceptable and what is not acceptable. Some people do not have a conscience. They are called psychopaths or sociopaths. They don't care what other people feel or want. They are only focused on what they want.

Science=Knowledge or knowing
This is the faculty of a mature, moral person, the ability to act with the knowledge of what is good and evil. There are those without consciences, they are called sociopaths or psychopaths or are simply immature and/or conflicted people.

"conscience" is the rational guide inside all of us which tells us what is "right" or "wrong " , it is conditioned to a large extent by the exposure of our cultural values , parenting that we receive and what is happening around us and how we perceive it ..........hopefully it helps us to evaluate our decisions on basis of objectivism and rationality instead of being swayed by lack of reason or bias and keeps us "straight" in the journey called life . In few people like terrorists it doesnt even exist. Or if it does, it manifests itself in all wrong ways. May yours always be your guiding light in the right "moral" direction.

The part of your brain that tells you right from wrong (aka: the little devil and angel on your shoulders from cartoons). "Right" and "wrong" are very relative terms. Because of that, people's consciences differ depending on what they believe (or were brought up to believe) is right and wrong.
