Here is my answer...Why don't u NOT work there, and take some pride in being a woman...It is a degrading place. I'm sure there are some very nice resturants to work at-I found them when I was young. "Hooters" non-sense was not around 'back then', and I found jobs all over because I was so very good at what I did. And I was dressed doing it! Good luck-make your parents proud...

approach the table very soon after customers sit down
make eye contact
smile
be nice to EVERYONE
be prompt, come back to table as often as possible
bring refills before they are desperately needed
my friends and i have a "FINA" rule we teach every hooters girl - when drinking coronas and the beer gets down to the fina in "la cerveza mas fina", bring another one!

you don't have to ask if everything is ok every time you go by the table, just picking up some napkins or empty bottles will allow your customers to ask if they need anything.
also, don't let anyone tell you this is degrading. you will make lots of money if you are are the "nice and quick" hooters girl. i've met many girls who are paying their own way thru college (yes, even med school). good luck!

Perhaps I am just old fashioned. But if I had to improve the 'Hooter Girl' service, I'd have them cover their 'pillows'. I know that this particular restaurant has always provided a very 'clever' view for the 'men', but women that I know have never been 'challenged' by this look. The food is good and they really don't need the extra 'ambience' to entice customers. So, if you walk in and you see this nice young lady whose CHEST IS COVERED....would you stay? Can this STILL be a 'fun' place to work????

if working at hooters help you get by- then go for it. i heard something on the radio about hooters helping servers pay for school. it might be fun and it might not. at least you're not stripping! as far as improving service- just be yourself and have a good time.
