Solve for x.

This is basic algebra.

6x² + 5x = 4
6x² + 5x - 4 = 0
(3x + 4)(2x - 1) = 0

x = -4/3, 1/2

For this equation, you need to use the quadratic formula. With the quadratic formula you will get two answers: -4/3 and 1/2. You now have to decide if the question is asking for both answers or just one.

Hope this helps.
