Unless there is a knob on it marked, "Range", probably not. See D-Link sells a high-performance antenna for it.

It may not be that it isn't sending out a good signal but the location of the router. Place it as high as possible in the building, preferably near the ceiling, as the signal range has an umbrella effect out to a varying range. If you're trying to use it in a metal clad building, one with metal studs in the walls or any other significant amount of metal in the walls then the range will be greatly diminished.

If you need to send the signal in a specific direction, there are many high power directional replacement antennas available up to 16dBi. These types of antennas work best when you purchase two (one for the router and the other for the network interface card) and point them at each other. Note that high powered radio antennas are dangerous, and should be kept at least a few feet away from places that people normally traverse.

Nope you cannot turn up any signal stength on your router. There are certain routers that have better then others but no much, i think its more what is around the router is what makes the signal stronger or not, meaning metal and electrical boxes etc etc..

No router gives very high signal levels for health and safety reasons. Position it as high as possible and well clear of any obstructions. Most range problems are down to poor location.
