does anybody know the symbol for the nuclide of vanadium that contains 28 neutrons with the correct superscript or subscript?
the symbol for an a particle?
the symbol of the nuclide of magnesium that has an equal number of protons and neutrons?
please tell me how to solve these problems... thanks

V is element no. 23, so if it has 28 neutrons it has 51 particles in the nucleus, and is (51 23 V). This is written with 58 in the top left hand corner, and 23 in the bottom left hand corner of the symbol V.

Similarly, the magnesium atom is written (24 12 Mg), since 12 + 12 = 24.
