Why has new dollar bills come out for all the bills except for ones?

Has anyone noticed or wondered that??

Because they redesigned the bills to reduce counterfeits. No one counterfeits one dollar bills, so they use the time and resources to worry about the ones that are counterfeited.

They want to discontinue the Ones and go to dollar coins like Canada did, but the general public here hates the idea. The coins are too heavy, people like the paper money, and the government is dragging it's feet on the issue.
