I have a 98 chevy s-10 pick up and in hot muggy weather, it just shuts off...no warning, no chugging no nothing....just shuts off. I have to pull to the side of the road, start it (Starts fine) and keep driving. It only does this in hot muggy weather. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

You may have a ignition coil that has a broken winding i.e... its bad. When the coil gets hot the copper wire in the coil gets hot and expands thus breaking the circuit...engine shuts off. When the coil cools down the circuit is restored and your engine will start.
Keep in mind if someone is wanting to "test" your coil- it will only show defective when it is hot.

It is possible that you would have to change the thermostat or radiator, but take your pick up to an electrician maintenance specialist to check all electric parts on your S-10. Good luck
