You can only use it to connect to a wireless signal for either networking with other PC's or internet usage. You can not use the usb wireless adapter as a router.

You can not use it to connect your PSP. A router is the one that emits a signal for a psp to work or a laptop to connect to the internet.

Put it this way. What you have is a radio. A router is like a radio station....with big antenas and sucky DJ's tha play the same songs over and over.

Good Luck with your computer adventures.

I don't know about the PSP but if you have another computer with a wireless adapter then you can set up an Ad-Hoc wireless network between the two computers sharing your internet connection, files and peripherals.

However, Ad-Hoc connections are inherently less secure than using a router and can be problematic to set up so you will likely need a professional to set it up for you or spend $40 or so on a wireless router by the same manufacturer.

You can join a wireless network in you subnet. You cannot route traffic for anyone else.
