The only jewelry I wear usually is my charm bracelet and I wear it only on special occasions. It is sterling silver, but some of the charms are made out of pewter or cast metals. It does not matter to me what the charms are made out of, it is the sentimental meaning of each of them.

The most important reason why I wear jewelry is because I think that it just makes me look good. Also I wear jewelry because I think that it gives me a look of confidence and personal style. The only jewelery I wear is my watches and a tungsten bracelet. I never go anywear without any jewelery on.
And yes, it does matter to me if the jewelery is fake or real because it would make me feel better knowing that I have on the real thing.

For a man, I think you are doing the best thing. I like it when a man just wears a gold chain, especially if it has a cross on it. Cool. The other piece of jewelry for a man, would be his wedding ring, if he has one. I wear rings only, most of the time. In the winter months, if I am going out somewhere half way dressed up, I will put on a gold necklace, sometimes plain and sometimes with a gold pennant of some kind ( cross, or ruby or diamond or gold ). I used to wear earrings all the time. I don't wear them much anymore. When I do, I wear small gold hoops and then a small pair of diamond studs or a small pair of ruby/diamond studs with the hoops. Oops, I just forgot, I never take off a plain gold bracelet and also a gold bracelet with rubies all around it that my mother gave to me. I forgot them as I never think of them. They are always on my wrist and I never remove them. My rings are either diamonds, or rubies or diamonds and rubies combined. My birthstone is ruby. All my jewelry is either gold, diamond, ruby or combination of all.

I wear jewelry for a few different reasons. It makes me feel feminine, it's part of my adornment! We put things in our home to make it pretty, why wouldn't we put something on us to make us look prettier? My jewelry is an expression of who I am. Mostly I wear real jewelry, but sometimes I wear costume stuff. It doesn't matter... it's how the piece makes you feel, its the statement you want to make. If you wear big jewelry, you are making a bold statement. When I am feeling more conservative, I wear smaller, daintier jewelry. That's what jewelry means to me!

I wear jewelry for decoration and to enhance my outfit or looks. I wear a combination of realy and costume jewelry. Of course I prefer real jewelry, but costume jewelry is cheaper and easier to come by.

Because it adds some elegance to my wardrobe. It's important for my jewelry to be real too. It doesn't have to be big or gaudy either.
I prefer elegant, yet dainty pieces to compliment what I wear in real materials.

Real is usually best. I wear jewlery because sometimes it just like completes an outfit. Say you were invited somewhere and everyone dressed up, and you don't have anything thats like semi-formal; jewlery can give your look that touch.

I wear jewelry because I like it. and it adds spunk to my outfits. I show my personality with my jewelry. I really don't care if it's real or fake. I have some of both.
