Ok, all answers are good. Please be specific. Make sure you use the exact name of the song. Do some research to see a list of all who had this song on an album (used this word to define cd) because a cd in a mini-album.
I want to know who gave all the thumbs down. There is no thumbs down on this question to me. All answers had some correct answers in them. To me, that is rude.

it was penned by Kris Kristofferson
at the grand ole opry they tried to make Kris rewrite the words because it referred to 'being stoned' BUT johnny cash stuck by the original words much to Kris' relief
