We have flavored mojitos where I work, and the other night a black guy asked me what my favorite flavor was and I said "watermelon is my all time favorite" and he just totally blew up, calling me a racist a** cracker ho and other stuff I can't even mention. He called all the waiters crackers when they threw him out, too. First of all, I really do like watermelon the best.Second, isn't cracker a racist term? Third, isn't the insult "cracker" just absolutely hilarious?

Well for you to think the word "cracker" is hilarious says alot about your personality. Somehow I think you are missing something out about your "innocent" reply to that poor guy. I can only imagine how you said that to him. No one blows up without good reason. You arent being truthful and you should maybe get some manners and respect for people. I am 100% sure if the story is true which I am sure its not. I am sure the poor man felt your ridicule.

He had no right to call you that because of his assumption, and frankly (As someone who isn't white): I'd be cursing at him for being a total dick if I were there.

The words we use today are in the millions, but with all the context, semantics, et cetera: A lot of people are on guard about anything they may think is offensive in some manner. It can be race, weight, religion, sexual preference, age, height, and more. That isn't to say it's valid to have a complete outburst, but there's many words that can trigger emotions upon people.

-"Cracker" when used in a certain (Bascially what I meant by "all the context, semantics, et cetera...") way is definitely racist. It's not a descriptor like white, black, what have you, and you have the right to be offended by it being used against you. No reason for a double standard.

-I just consider it an insult. I'm not racist. I don't use the term cracker unless I am talking food semantics. :p, and I don't use the n word (Or any variation of it) at all.

I don't know if the term "cracker" is hilarious but I DO know that you are 100% retarded and need to immediately return to that institution that you just escaped from. Hurry now, they're waiting for you!
