It has always been about money for the U.S. It's a lie that the government is for the people and by the people. A lot of politicians do not care or understand the average American nor do they care to. They have an opinion and they stick with that to justify the slimey decisions they make. It makes me sick to my stomach to hear politicians like Romney speak. He is such a liar and an elitist. He is clueless and delusional. He is dangerous to the average American because he feeds lies such as taxbreaks. Can we afford tax breaks and would they make enough of a difference? I think not. I think we need better solutions. Our roads and infrastructure are in serious disrepair. We do not have a system in place to save for their eventual replacement like we should have. Our educational system is old and outdated. Our healthcare system is about to collapse. GM's health care liability is $64 billion. Do you think that is going to increase or decrease in the upcoming years? Don't blame the unions because it is not their fault. They need to make a living just like we all do. My health insurance costs keep increasing, it seems like every quarter. When is the point where I will no longer be able to afford to pay? My salary is not going up. It's very much stagnant despite the fact that my company is having a stellar year. I believe I have contributed to the success. Capitalism on its own is evil and dangerous. We need smart intellectuals in office who understand and other people who can explain in lay terms the reasons they do the things they do. We need to employ diplomacy again. But Bush is incapable because he doesn't care and it doesn't hold his attention. He screwed up Austria and Australia. We all make mistakes but do you think we can count on the President to not screw it up. It doesn't look good. He screwed up OPEC and APEC. It shows that he was not prepared and that he's not serious. It's embarrassing. I understand that people make mistakes but he seems to do it so often that I feel like his heart is not where it should be. He's on vacation. He's had a lot of vacation time. We are at war. Shouldn't he be having less vacation time and not more? But I guess it's ok since the Iraqi parliament is on vacation while our soldiers are fighting for them but who knows, maybe they are fighting for our corporations since they just want to be able to make money over there. It makes me sick and wonder is this all that we are capable of. No wonder that depression is on the rise. No wonder that prescription drugs are being abused at the highest levels yet. No wonder we are all too busy to talk to each other and be respectful. We are losing a lot. No one seems to care enough to do anything about it. I'm ready to do something.

This just about sums up the history of US policy in the Middle East:

'We'll put you in power if you maintain a favorable business climate for us'

Why else would a country with oppressive rulers and a large population of radical Muslims, such as Saudi Arabia, be a US ally?
