Harrah's "Total Rewards" - First time sign ups can get two free tickets go Mac King at Harrah's & Jubilee at Bally's so sign up for separate accounts. Harrah's is not a good place to actually play.
Arizona Charlie's is the best one to get right now - They give you a $100 free shot, you can play up to $100 and if you lose, they give you the money back!!

Harrahs.
The Harrahs Total Rewards card allows you to accumulate comp points that can be used as Harrahs, Caesars Palace, Flamingo, Paris, Ballys, Rio, Horseshow not only in Las Vegas but any Harrahs' propery.
The comps are pretty good. I've never had to pay for a room or meal at any Harrahs since I first joined in 1999. They have great shows that you can get free or discounted along with great restaurants and buffets. They even got me free show tickets to other events.
Once or twice a year, we get invitations to pick up a multitude of gifts. I've been at the events in Atlantic City and Las Vegas and merchandise is first rate, new, and FREE.
Of course, you have to gamble.

When you sign up for player cards, many casinos will give you coupons for things like buy-one-get-one buffets or whatever, and/or they will give free play like $20 in free slot play, or sometimes more. Even if you don't comped for anything, you may get hotel deals and things via snail mail that you may want to use on your next trip, even if it's a year away. That's the main reason you could want to sign up for players cards while you're here as a small budget player. Look for deals and ask what kind of freebies you can get. A woman named Jean Scott has written several books (like "The Frugal Gambler") where she gives suggestions of how to work the comp system. It may be something worthwhile to look for at your local library.

For me, I used my Total Rewards card at Caesers Palace for most of my stay, since I was staying there. I didn't really go out of the hotel, except to see a show. Get 2 from each company.
Total Rewards: Bally's, Ceasars, Flamingo, Paris, Harrah's, Rio
MGM Mirage Players Club: Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Treasure Island, Monte Carlo, New York New York, Luxor, Excalibur

Generally - anywhere you plan to play, get the card. I have the one for the Hard Rock, and the MGM Mirage one - I like the MGM Mirage one because it's good at any of their properties - and they own pretty much half the Strip.

Get one from every casino you play in. They're free. Some of them work at other casinos too. Check when you sign up for them.
