Kerionga - I'm so sorry to hear that - I really cannot understand how or why anyone could do such an evil thing, especially at that time of year, when it's supposed to be 'Goodwill To All Men'... All my best wishes to you and yours .. xx

Yes and No as this year has been horrendous for us we lost my mother my sister in law three really good friends all under 55 and we had a fire while they were repairing the house we were burgled and the so called people's insurance wont pay out until we take the builders to court for neglegence. So as you can imagine we were going to cancel Christmas but i had a bit of luck on the lottery it wasn;t a lot but my partner also won a holiday for Christmas in a five star hotel in Scotland with all the trimmings and i used my winnings to pay for the rest of the time taking in the new year as well so i suppose we are looking forward to it all except that first song of the new year I cannot even bring myself to type the name of it but it is by Robbie Burns. We are not giving presents as we are hoping to change her car soon and hopefully her present to me will be leaving my car alone.

No, not really. Our Christmas died last year. My wife and I have put out decorations for the past decade. Every year it gets bigger and bigger. The size of our display is about the size of a football field. We have over 300 lighted blowmolds, lighted trees, Santa and reindeer on the roof of the house... I mean a big display. It took me 40 hours to set up each year. We had people coming from far and wide to see our display.

Last year, someone came in the yard and stole a number of the decorations and damaged things. It broke our hearts to think somebody would do that. It just isn't the same now. I doubt we will put them up any more. Why work that hard just to be vandalised?

Christmas lost its pleasure for me. So I'm not really looking forward to it. For me it will be just another day.

g-day!

I'm trying not to think about it, I found it really hard to get in to the Christmas spirit last year, and I've got a feeling it could be the same this year as well. Which is a shame, because I do normally enjoy it.

I always look forward to Christmas. Most years I am not too good so I don't expect anything, and I usuall either get it or am very surprised.
