i've been in lubbock, tx for 6 months. and i have yet to make any friends. I work in Home Health, so i work alone. My fiance has friends, but none of them have girlfriends. When we go out, i'm always the only girl, and it sucks. I chat with people on Myspace, but none from around here. How do i go about meeting new people, when i never have the time?

talk to ur neighbors, throw a party and invite all the families on the block, joining a club is a great idea as well.

You work during the day right? At night join some sort of group or team. Softball, ice skating, darts, bolwing, dancing... That's the best way to do it. Seek people who have the same intrests as you.

I was int eh same situation as you, but I let it get too far. I got kinda jelous of my fiance's amount of friends and really holed myself up. What I did was start college and joined the student government, now everyone knows who I am and I have made some really great friends that have stuck cuz we have more things in common.

And another peice of adivce that you may have already recived::: NEVER MAKE FRIENDS AT A BAR. Unless you are BOTH prefectly sober. It never works out.

This idea may take some time. Find a beauty salon that you like, get the nails done, whatever. Strike up a conversation. Check out the ladies there for possible friends.
Have you spoken to your fiance' about this? Well, most dudes are not too experienced in getting their chosen one a friend, but at least tell him how you feel.
Ladies softball?
" bowling league? (2 Dorky?)
Hanging out with all dudes has to be a bummer, I know I could not handle hanging out w/ my wife's friends only.
Well, I realize this is not much of a help, after all I'm a dude!

Join a bowling league, a book club, go to the library and take a class, go to college and take a continuing education cooking class or art or something where you interact with other people. Join the YMCA and take a class there. Do something.
