Curvy you are full of it. Evidently Wisconsin is undereducated b/c alcohol is FAR more addicting & I should know my father is dead from it . Name one person who died from pot! I think were done here!

Try making your answers at least make sense. IF you don't agree that it is a dbl standard I prefer you didn't repsond. The smartest answers have been in favor while the argumants I have read are totally one sided & ignorant!

Of course there is a double standard. We have tons of them.
The reason pot is illegal is because it ruins the ability to take seriously the hunt for the buck. It eliminates anxiety over the job. It removes the edge that makes you say "Yes sir", and replaces it with 'ya huh'. If it ain't good for business its illegal.
A good scotch with lunch softens up the clients, its 'social' its a gift at Christmas, a way to make a girl look prettier at closing hour. Do it too much and you get arrested or fired, and they are closing in on making tobacco illegal. Adds to the cost of insurance for businesses.
That's the key...what it costs business.
You will know that we are lost as a country when the food police raid Dairy Queen and haul the cows into court for producing too much heavy cream.

there is no legitimate reason for marijuana to be illegal. to throw people in jail, break up families, and fine/confiscate (steal) people's money for smoking a weed that comes out of the ground is just evil. but this country (usa) is moving in the wrong direction. soon, tobacco will be illegal too, and eventually there will be a movement to criminalize alcohol as well. other people's health should not be the primary concern when discussing issues like this, it should be freedom. let freedom reign.

Makes you ask your self whilst in case you examine marijuana to the two of the different 2 it does not even come on the factor of the dying's it motives. whilst the final time you heard somebody have been given severe and drowned their young ones or have been given right into a smash and killed a family participants or perhaps robbed a economic business enterprise or connivance save via fact they had to get their next joint? All appropriate to the 30's and the combat to make hemp unlawful. all the " eco-friendly/arbor day individuals " could be backing its legalization reason it is going to save timber.

alcohol is legal because it has less addictive properties then tobacco and pot. that isnt to say that alcohol doesnt cause problems or damage you body but in moderate amounts can be beneficial to you- look at the country of france, they eat alot of things that are high in cholesterol and yet because of the glass of wine everyday have less heart attacks/conditions) but tobacco is slowly becomeing illegal in some parts of the country usa, narrowing down where people can and cannot smoke, even in public places. the tobacco laws are old and are slowly changing for fear of filling up the courts with ciggarette violations and leaving no room for the prosecution of more serious crimes.

Marijuana is illegal because of ignorant Americans who are brainwashed into believing so, this is the governments main objective and so far it has worked, one day it will be legal and the government will brianwash them again into believing its good for you. Then they'll make billions from a marijuana industry, its been their plan all along.

At least with alcohol and tobacco they can support themselves until they die. Those who smoke pot turn into pillows with no motivation to move. So we have to support them while they look at the wall in a fog.
